here is the HR-1913, the bill in question. The only things is says about protected sex- or gender-related categories is listing "sexual orientation, gender identity" as being subject to this law. The term "sexual orientation" has a perfectly well-defined meaning -- it includes, homosexuality, heterosexuality, bisexuality, and asexuality. Nothing more, nothing less.
Dude, when the fuck are you planning to do even the most basic fact-checking on the insane shit you post?

What utter BS. sexual orientation excludes pedophilia by definition. That language would have indeed been inflamatory -- it's like saying "President Bush is not a pedophile, honestly, i swear!" This is semantic jujitsu.A different take:

DSM-IV defined pedophilia as a sexual disorder, not sexual orientation. Adding the pedophilia language would have done exactly one thing: imply that, except for such a language, a sane person could think sexual orientation includes pedophilia, i.e. it would implicitly lump gays and pedophiles into the same category.
Who said it's gentler?PS - Your new, improved (kinder/gentler) avatar, naw.

"Missing Link" Human Skull Found in Africa, Scientists Say
How Neanderthals met a grisly fate: devoured by humans: A fossil discovery bears marks of butchering similar to those made when cutting up a deer
Then again, since Homo Sapiens has been pushed back [by some] to 200,000 BC perhaps it's us that made some of the links gone missing :The face and cranium of the fossil have features found in both early and modern human species....[it] shows the continuity of the evolutionary record, so in that sense it is a link [between Homo erectus and modern humans]," said Scott Simpson

Machu Picchu Is Mini Re-creation of a Mythic Landscape?
It reminds me of some of the better theories about the early Giza structures, the way a pilgrim could make some kind of mythic journey between and underneath the structures as symbolic initiation of some kind, education of who they were.Peru's Machu Picchu was an Inca pilgrimage site and a scaled-down version of a mythic landscape, according to a controversial new study. (...) Magli argues that certain structures at Machu Picchu symbolize important landmarks of this journey. For instance, a disorderly pile of stones represents the underground "void" that the first Inca traveled through.

Brain represents tools as temporary body parts, study confirms
My idea is that "body image" is just as plastic (albeit narrowed down a bit more) as ones "self image" and heavily influenced by the tools we use or the way we're used as tool :)Researchers have what they say is the first direct proof of a very old idea: that when we use a tool—even for just a few minutes—it changes the way our brain represents the size of our body. In other words, the tool becomes a part of what is known in psychology as our body schema

I was there, back in the late 1970s, though i don't remember much detail. The hike up there knocked me for a loop. There was some fellow way down at the beginning of the trail, who offered the group of us some coca leaf (to chew), for some dumb reason, I turned it down. Somehow, I made it on a pack of Marlboro reds in-the-box and a gallon of H2O...Diebert van Rhijn wrote:Machu Picchu Is Mini Re-creation of a Mythic Landscape?

Yes, some peyote or LSD (or a three-day water fast), and a couple-few days up there would do wonders for an old geezer, like me. This earth is a blessing, the hidden wonders that 'modern society' glosses over.
