Whose voice is it on the men of the infinite videos?
Truth is a pathless land.

I think you'll have to make some more videos about atheists, Dan.

Re: Announcing "TheAbsolute TV"
I'm going to do one about God fairly soon. That will irk them a little because I'll be arguing that their knee-jerk reaction to the term does them no credit.
I think I'll have probably upset a few Buddhists as well with my latest.
Anna,
The voice (other than the reincarnation one - which is Kevin) is mine.

Re: Announcing "TheAbsolute TV"
Has anyone tried the theory of adding code [&fmt=6 or &fmt=18] to the end of Youtube urls to be able to watch them (or those with sufficient inherent quality) in high definition? Does it really work? So far I haven't noticed any difference that I couldn't chalk up to wishful thinking.

Here's a video on the mentality of morality that's pretty good:

Yes, it does work, provided that the high-def version is available. Keepvid.com lets you choose which one to download to your hard drive. If youtube is having problems, they may block access to the high-def versions.Dan Rowden wrote:Has anyone tried the theory of adding code [&fmt=6 or &fmt=18] to the end of Youtube urls to be able to watch them (or those with sufficient inherent quality) in high definition? Lots of new videos on TheAbsolute TV.
I've been busy writing on lots of Buddhist forums of late, but have still been collecting links to interesting videos.

Kevin, can you lock this thread at the top of the forum for easy access, please.
Edit: nevermind - I see you've already taken care of it.

By default, your playback setting is set to normal.Dan Rowden wrote:Has anyone tried the theory of adding code [&fmt=6 or &fmt=18] to the end of Youtube urls to be able to watch them (or those with sufficient inherent quality) in high definition? If you know you have a very fast or very slow connection, you may want to change your "Video Playback Setting" in your account to "I have a fast connection. Always play higher-quality video when it's available." or "I have a slow connection. Never play higher-quality video."
To change your playback settings, follow the steps below:
Go to your Account page.
Under "Account" click the "Video Playback Quality" link.
Select the playback setting that makes sense for you.
Click the "Save Settings" button.
You can also choose to view a specific video in higher quality directly from the playback page. If the video is streaming at standard quality and is available in higher quality, you can click the link that reads "Watch this video in higher quality" underneath the video. Conversely, if you're watching the streaming video in higher quality and want to watch it in standard quality, click the link that says "Watch this video in lower quality for faster playback."

Now, this was one heck of a video. Bravo! What an incredible justification for my tendency to laughingly call humans: Monkey People.Kevin Solway wrote:New video: Blind faith and idiocy

Words cannot properly express just how much I agree with this video! I mean....I just can't say it in words! RIGHT FRIGGIN ON!!!!Kevin Solway wrote:New video: Blind faith and idiocy
EVERY INSULT I UNLEASHED on you people was based on the premises presented in the above video!
YOU DON'T KNOW that the Earth revolves yet you believe it on faith
YOU DON'T KNOW that all life evolved from single-celled organisms
YOU DON'T KNOW that all matter was once compressed to a point smaller than the head of a pin
YOU DON'T KNOW many of the things you monkey-people accept on blind faith!
Friggin dumb ape creatures. You should be entrusted only with bananas, not with a beautiful planet!
Monkey-brained morons!

Interesting video! I like both those guys, and it's nice to see them come together. Schizophrenics commonly have intense paranoid (yup) delusions about mind reading, etc... We know why this happens, right?

I'm not sure I do...Please explain.

Re: Announcing "TheAbsolute TV"
It's frankly none of your business why he's no longer here, but just so you know, he has a long history of asking to be banned when his behaviour goes awry. I have always accommodated that desire. End of discussion.
