Until recently they were used in babies' dummies and teething rings, but the European Union has now banned their use in products "intended to be chewed or sucked in children under three". However, these chemicals are still used in soft plastic toys, such as bath toys and squeezy toys, so it is still possible for your baby to ingest them.
Phthalates can still be widely found in products ranging from cosmetics to floor coverings, and are known to leach out into the environment (or into your body, in the case of sex toys) over time.

Sue: But the above scenario isn't that much of a step away from how adults belonging to religions here in the so-called modern world take their children with them to their church so that they too can become indoctrinated with the same superstitions and fears of the parents. Like the Nepalese child, these children are also having their rights violated. The mental abuse they are subjected to should be acknowledged as a crime. And parents who indulge themselves in such pleasures should be prosecuted like any other child molester.
Yes and no, Sue. It's just another Pagan religion.
But how can they be prosecuted when that is the major religion at play? America is essentially Catholic and Protestant.
