does anyone know the answer to this question?
does anyone know the answer to this question?
what is the single response that is in the middle of yes and no?
Re: does anyone know the answer to this question?
Maybe I can.
Maybe?
In terms of the universe though, the response to the half way point between Yes and No or Off and On or Positive and Negative or expand and contracting is Balance. Which is precisely what 'things' are, the universe's two opposites temporarily held in equality, in balance.

Between the Top and the Bottom
Between the Truth and the False
lies The Nothing
so then we must ask
is there a such a thing as nothing?
if it does, what is it?
Nothing is the lack or absence of anything. "Nothing" and "zero" are closely related but not identical concepts. The term "nothing" is rarely used mathematically, though it could be said that a set contains nothing if and only if it is the empty set, in which case its cardinality (or size) is zero. source- http://www.dictionary.com
it is the thing that opposes the "everything"
there is no space
no time
nothing Edited by: sloof at: 7/9/05 14:18

Re: does anyone know the answer to this question?
The human brain, since it's a reactive object that can't be stilled to nothing and still remain alive or functional, is incapable of experiencing and recalling what the midway point is, whether it be yes or no, up or down, everything or nothing or what have you. It literally doesn't exist, except in non-existence, in which perception does not exist.
Consciousness/anima ensures the impossibility of knowing/percieving the answer.

If there is no matter there is nothing, which can be seen.
Intuitively my answer to whats between up and down is everything, before I saw your answer, as being the same as mine. Everything was my first thought, then infinity was the second thought, but I dismissed infinity considering the oceans have a floor.
The only thing on earth that is infinite is our spirit or consciousness, our bodies die, but our energy goes on, back to its original energy source. God
Outside of earth infinity goes on forever.
