It took me a while to get to this one, but I finally figured it was worth a response.
Foreigner wrote:While ive got you here.....Just how do you manage to deal with your acceptance, your resignation to a life lived in worry, fear, stress and overall suckiness (excepting periods of joint sucking) potentially at any waking moment, what with so much here constantly inviting you to rise above it and make a bid, at least, for salvation and a life worth living?
It just doesnt compute with me, i reckon id sooner kill myself, seriously....
I'm assuming that by "here" you mean GF. The problem with what you suggest is that the salvation preached here doesn't make intellectual sense to me. As for the life worth living as advocated here, in two ways I already live it: I live very modestly in a material sense, and I'm pretty much a drop out from the mainstream, with relatively alternative values. When it comes to the rest, though, I don't see the emotionally passionless, clinically rational life advocated here as being superior to a life full of passionate emotion, creativity and intuition.

For me, a "life worth living" is either one of spiritual hermitage, involving a lot of meditation and purification practices, or one of proactive engagement: getting enthusiastically involved in the world as it is and putting a lot of good energy into changing it in a positive way. I don't see myself being "constantly invited" here on GF to take either of those approaches. I'm pretty sure that the first approach would be seen as unnecessary (meditation/purification as superfluous once you've intellectually apprehended Ultimate Reality), and similarly with the second approach: "worldly" improvement is seen here to be achieved through the enlightenment of the populace, and the task of solving worldly problems is seen as inferior to the task of promoting "wisdom" (and thereby enlightening the populace).

By the way, I'm not sure how you came to your conclusions about the state of my life. They're not wholly accurate.

Ton & Sergio - VOU SAIR DO CATIVEIRO

The guitar riff at the beginning is what I like the most. Song is funky, yet melancholy.

I can get behind this. Also liked your mention of Gorefest. If you like those, try Schubert.

That’s pretty good.

Here’s another cover that adds some layers to the bubble-gum version.

OMG Tank.

That Elvis channeler was a bit of speed bump in the flow. Real, but not real.
