Corbeatification

This is the Altar of Corby. We worship the one God, that of young, good-looking white women. Corbeatification is a process where in giving your life to the Corb, you sanctify yourself as a believer in the one true faith. Leave reason, analysis and rationality behind as you become a devoted, unquestioning believer of Corb, and all things that shine down from it.
The Corb of the Universe is yours. Behold its glory, and worship upon it!

Most of the world would have never heard of her.
And I think that only a small percentage of Australians would recognize the name.

I don't think so. A friend in Germany says she is on the news there regularly. She's also on the BBC news a lot, and in America, where talk show hosts have debated the case on air. Also on CNN.com pretty often.

Well I don't understand what all the fuss is about. If she's guilty, then nothing. And if she's innocent then she's got problems, and there's a probably relatively rare fault with the system.
Without any more information one way or the other it is a non-story in my opinion.

Could it be "young white Western woman captive of old yellow Asian men"? That's a good enough story for anyone's book.

I would need to see her naked before forming an opinion. Until then, I prefer asians.

This is the quintessential King Kong story where the ugly brute holds the delicate maiden captive.

She is in a conventional sense, very attractive (from all angles). But it seemed to work against her in the judgment. A sacrificial lamb. Often people deemed as attractive get an easy ride in the justice system.
She is guilty, however. This pretty white woman is biting the bullet of what is sure to be a coming trend in international relations. The reign of the West is coming to an end.

May I ask - Why do you think she guilty?
I haven't followed it much, but I would think it difficult to prove that she and not some strange other put it in there.

My gut-instinct/insight tells me she's guilty. Personal observations of her behaviour in news footage. She may not be guilty of the crime she was convicted of, sure, but she still has a guilty demeanor.

And, prince, if you were a member of the jury, just what would you do with such a conclusion: "Well, she's guilty of something"?

Maybe she should think about getting a better lawyer than Hotman Paris Hutapea:
"She feels very, very sad, she feels lonely," he said of Corby.
Mr Hutapea lashed out at Justice Minister Chris Ellison, who refused to travel to Bali for a meeting with the defence team, despite being in Jakarta today.
"I know your government doesn't want Corby to be free," he said.
Mr Ellison has offered to meet Mr Hutapea in Jakarta, an offer the lawyer turned down because he was too busy.
The high-priced counsel said he had sent dozens of letters to all levels of government in Australia begging for help and denied he should have made time to travel to Jakarta to meet the minister.
"There is no issue of pride," he said.
"I asked him to come to Bali, why not come to Bali. Yesterday I worked hard to talk to the witness, to prepare for the hearing today, but he insist to come to Jakarta so I report that to Corby and Corby is very very upset because there is no way we leave Corby just because we want to meet somebody from your country."
Mr Hutapea also slammed Australians for allowing the Government to abandon Corby.
"Your country, your people, always think you are the best human being (sic) in the Earth," he said.
"But in fact your bloody airport, sending all marijuana to my own country ...
"So don't say any more that Australians are the most human law-abiders. In fact your front yard is very dirty."
