9 minutes too many.

Good to see you around, Trevor.

Thanks. Good to be back. I lost the summer to my illness, and the last 4 months to school.

There's so much misinformation in that video it's not funny. It doesn't inspire me to watch any of the other links that you post.

Do you have anything relevant to say about the video? I doubt it.
Man in a suit? Upright walking gorilla? Unidentified walking object?

This is more relevant.

still irrelevent...You haven't provided any evidence for bigfoot, no bones, nothing. I'm not disputing evolution, I believe in evolution and naturally, I believe fossils exist.

But hey, thanks for being a sport and posting a vid...it was amusing. :)

Well I had to after watching you do the maths with numbers. I mean, how was I supposed to resist?

More seriously, I'm open to the possibility that those clips in the compilation are legit.

I might be but I saw a documentary once that debunked some of those very same clips that were in the vid...one example, of many, the footage around 3:08, zoologists said the hair pattern was artificial, the pattern is too perfect, iow, it's a guy in a suit. Sure, anything's "possible", but if Bigfoot exists, why haven't any bones/teeth been found?

More importantly, do you really want to discuss Bigfoot any further? I find this topic pretty absurd actually...or mildly amusing...can't decide which...

Nah, Bigfoot's just very particular in his combing habits. "Morning, noon and night, 'til I'm pleasing to the sight", is his motto.

I don't know; maybe they die in very remote locations and make an effort to go someplace their remains won't be found. Just speculating.
Carmel wrote:More importantly, do you really want to discuss Bigfoot any further?
Nope - after all, it's rude to talk about him behind his back.

You have a high threshold for credulity. I'm betting the Santa Claus lie cut you pretty badly.

guest,

Don't you mean low threshold?

Just curious, do you find the possibility of Bigfoot incredible?

I mean that it takes a lot before she becomes credulous herself.
Carl G wrote:Just curious, do you find the possibility of Bigfoot incredible?
Not a priori, and I haven't done enough research to know what the possibility is like given generally known or relatively easily accessible empirical facts.

Maybe. ...and maybe fairies and elves do the same?

Carmel:
yes, I'm a skeptic, but in spite of that I don't believe in the premise that all Truth can be divined through logic alone. I have quite a few beliefs that I could never explain logically, nor am I compelled to make the attempt. I have no desire to either explain or defend them. I already know all the counterarguments, all of which, are logically viable, but in no way negate my beliefs and never will.

Carmel:
I presume you're being facetious, but there's actually some truth to that statement. I remember the exact moment that I stopped believing in Santa Claus. One day, the protective bubble of magical thinking and childhood delusion abruptly popped. The realization of it was insidious, crept over me like a hard, cold chill. A sort of existential reality settled into my young bones. I guess I've never really fully shook that feeling out of my bones.

...but the good news is, when Santa Claus left, he took the bogeyman with him. ;)
