Black president in the White House

Black president in the White House: Not the 'same old white supremacy' but ...

-snips-

And I think we have to include in this category political prisoner Mumia Abu-Jamal's analysis (posted on Kasama).

Basically their analysis: Look, a President Obama would just be a black face on the same old white supremacy.

And I've even run across some communists running a version of this line, saying, for example, that Barack Obama is not "really" Black or African American, and that is why he is acceptable and promotable within the "white power structure".

This was not the experience of other nationalities: For example in the '50s when the Jewish population went from being overwhelmingly proletarian to almost no members of the working class in twenty years. It's one of the fastest demographic transformations in history and it's part of what conservatised Jewish people in the country. But through such changes affecting European immigrants, Black people have historically been held in caste-like conditions using the colour line.

And the moment Obama even mentions, "Look, I don't look like the white guys on the dollar bill", the whole political establishment shouts back, "Whoa, let's not be talking about race now."

In other words, the price (the result) of having a Black presidential candidate is the suppression of any discussion of the oppression of Black people.

Sometimes political figures in this society are simply negated and removed from the scene - as George Wallace was in 1972 when he was getting in the way of Richard Nixon.

And such abrupt developments can really create an opening for more radical turn in things.

It's not simply, Obama is going to pacify people and we just have to (somehow) get people to not pay attention to these events.

We actually want people to look and see what's coming. To learn from what is coming now. As Mao said: "To go through it and come out the other side."

In just a few days Barack Obama will be president. Using my connections, I am personally going to see to it that you, Tomas, are placed in one of many 're-education centers' that are even now being set up around the country...

-tomas-
Yup, our good buddy (Rep. Alcee Hastings of Florida) has done just that. Next time you come back to the good ol' USA, you can set the specs for the little people's internment. Thought control even at the QRS Genius Forums?

-Alex-
You are going to come out a flaming gay with a lisp...

-tomas-
Odd, the last (real) flaming gay was this fellow in VietNam, he was an Army captain who was busted down to a Specialist 5th Class for doing whatever "homos" do to/with each other. But on the other hand, if it wasn't for him I'd never have met Elton John (and an ensuing 20 minute conversation) afterwards. That dude can play the keyboards. Saw the Goodbye Yellow Brick Road concert (1975?) Fabulous! ala George Bush with a lisp...

PS - Perish the thought of Elton without a toupee...

-mansman-
Have to admit interesting that presidental candidate product of black man and white woman, of all the choices Americans could have chosen. Good to think about the reasons why these phenominons. And if he makes good leader then think again WHY the USA needed to wait for a half black ex-foreigner (born out of continent, McCain also amazing enough) to lead the people!

-tomas-
Well, he "won" the election and is now President, he's bumbling his way through confirmations with the "Change" he promised, only with scads of those lobbyists he so railed against.

-Manny-
Where can we place "blame" for this? Or who can we thank?
Someone said his MOTHER!

-tomas-
She had apparently slept around from age 14 on with this Frank Marshall Davis dude. He can hardly admit to knowing the truth about his mother's sexual mores, but in America anything goes. I presume this is what the objections are to his being "native born" and he wants to keep under wraps about who his real birth father is.

-Manny-
Unlike the average American woman and the better American women, who selfishly, foolishly and blindfully insist there mate be a certain way, certain look, certain color, certain history, certain parents, certain religion, certain height, certain amount of womaness and good praiser of women, so many many trivial MUSTS, requirements for any single American woman worth marrying, certain this and certain that, good servant, ok working 60 hours week, let her fuck whoever and turn his back to save family, on and on, wow there are so many MUSTS before a decent guy has any hope of attracting one of these brainwashed spoiled American female disasters that is any wonder what shitty leaders make the male children from these wombs?

-tomas-
Couldn't have said it better myself.

-Manny-
Is any chance now the young girls of America see the mistake of there mothers and seek out men with brain instead of with heart? My goodness, is it even possible to total up all the damage and harm the females of this country have contributed to there nation and also to our world!?

-tomas-
I dunno where to place the blame. It's been goin' on before I was conscious.

-Manny-
Is any chance they smarten up and close there eyes and open there minds and see that the solution is in their power, that they can actually begin to restore and hugely improve this world by simply choosing different men to become friends and mates with? What a domino effect it would have!

-tomas-
Our glorious leader wants to have Universal Conscription for both sexes. Public service by all and for all.

-Manny-
But what is happening and has happen? What is happening is- OUR men are KILLING or trying to kill many of the exact men who there own sisters and daughters should be marrying and someday making babies with! When will we see true planet Unity??????

-tomas-
Manny, you really should learn and master the QRS Way... There is very little to disagree with in their outlook. It's not quite a one-size fits-all, but .. they are good at what they espouse...

-Manny-
If white/black marriage can give the world an Obama, just think what miracles come from joining with our enemies, what unheard of peace would enter this planet! the end:M

-tomas-
Somewhere around December 2012, we'll see what this Mayan calendar was all about.

Peace up!

-brokenhead-
You are comparing Obama to Hitler, Stalin, Castro, Mao... Which means you are not able to distinguish among these people. They were all dictators, but had more differences than similarities. And Obama is not even in office yet, and you revile him. Just remember, Stalin, for example, was nobody's "messiah."

-tomas-
Obama never had a real job nor did any of the above. Obama lived off of the Annenberg Trust (and he was a Republican to boot) Hung around the likes of Mayor Daley, Governor Blago, Rahm Emanuel and the other assorted Chicago mobster overlords.

Obama has shown his true colors his first few weeks in office. The "stimulus" is pure bullshit. His closing of torture camps is in reality just shipping them off to other torture countries, more feel-good politics and the CIA is still into the rendition business.

You can tell the character of a man by who he calls his 'hood. Just checking out his time in the Illinois state senate and most of it is in the public record. This dude is clearly on the upswing with the House and Senate. He'll be changing the face of America more than any other that has held that office. Those dingbat Senate whores from Maine and that old "Magic Bullet Theory" Arlen Specter (from Kennedy assassination fame) passing stimulus..

-Brokie-
Your little warning sounds like sour grapes. I can sympathize. Palin has better gams than Biden. CNN could have been easier to look at for the next four years.

Perhaps, but McCain was prettier in his younger years too, a more Charlie Sheen (the machine) is a better descriptor. But then, serial adultery is a selective process.

Hope Floats

A carnival float depicting a flying Obama with Europe being dragged along is seen during the traditional carnival parade in Duesseldorf, Germany, on Feb 23, 2009.

Excuse me -- but what the hell is Miss Europe holding on to?

And why is Obama smiling?

Obama "Birth Certificate" conference moves into high gear

National conference to ask why Barack Obama is hiding his original typewritten birth certificate.

Why won't he make his college records available to researchers for scholarly review?

The Obama birth certificate problem is a non-issue because nobody but a few losers cares. Nobody gives a fuck. They don't care about how the stimulus money is spent, they don't care about whether or not justice is served to rip-off artists like Bernie Madoff. And they don't care about trillion-dollar deficits. People just don't care.

Carl, not caring about stuff is a survival strategy. If I cared about all the problems in the world today, I'd be so stressed out I couldn't function properly, and my sanity would be jeopardized.

Well, I give a fuck. I want to see Madoff squeezed until his fucking head pops. I think there are right and wrong ways to spend the stimulus money, and big checks for AIG execs pisses me off. I care about that. I want Obama to go after them like a pimp goes after a john who damaged one of his hos.

It does affect my life, how this stimulus money is spent.

Hi Shah, we are synchronized this time!

You are correct here. I don't lose sleep over bad shit that I know about and have no control over. But I certainly want to see justice done to Madoff.

It is incomprehensible to me that Madoff hasn't been ripped to pieces and had his head swinging from the nearest bridge. Incomprehensible that a few more, whoever is handy, don't get the same treatment in connection to the AIG bonuses.

That would cut out the legal red tape real quick.

Not that I am advocating violence or anything, just sayin.

I think what I'm trying to say is that if we were a self-respecting society and the people had any balls, this is what would happen.
Truth is a pathless land.
