"if we simply let all the anti-government people" Unidian
"If we" "let" them?

How sad that government bestows such -benevolence- upon us, AT GUNPOINT.

If Social Security, Medicaid, and Medicare* are such a great deal, why are they compulsory?

When agricultural workers were -assisted- by being flogged, we called it slavery.

Did the slaves really have any more choice about their plight than I do about whether or not I'll participate in these 3* "entitlement" programs?

If they "let" me; I'd opt out in a heartbeat! I have no interest in your horrid pyramid scams.
"Government big enough to supply everything you need is big enough to take everything you have ... The course of history shows that as a government grows, liberty decreases." Thomas Jefferson

"A wise and frugal government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government." Thomas Jefferson first inaugural address 1801
We've been warned well in advance.

And STILL we blow it!

Buh-bye, then.

El Salvador has an inclusive immigration policy and no "horrid pyramid schemes."

I'm not sure what immigration policy has to do with encroaching socialism.

Socialism is "encroaching?" From which direction? I'll roll out the red carpet.

It has to do with the fact that those who live here implicitly agree to the social contract.

"From which direction?" Uni
From the direction the U.S. Founders headed us toward, in the 18th Century.

"Implicitly"?

I'm not so sure. Psychologist Joy Browne says we move toward pleasure, and away from pain.

If a woman from Belize thinks her life will be better if she enters the U.S., she may undertake to do so.
And if she learns there are laws against it, she may break those laws, for her own benefit.

I'm not sure that's implying agreement with a social contract. Or have I missed your intended point?

When they were given the choice, they seemed to choose wisely, according to Constantine.

I think we should live up to the Founding principles of the United States of America and restore Liberty to the People.
Gobbon: The Romans all believed religion was true, the Philosophers all thot religion was false, and the politicians all knew religion was useful. Nobody knew that better than Constantine. Nobody since made as much power and money off religion.

Whether we should return to the Constitutional principles or not, the fact is that the sheeple have never been as irrational and incapable of living up to those principles. Look at the postings, and see how often they are driven to ad hominum trying to defend a position. An electorate capable of living up to the Constitution would never have let Bush take office.
