The enlightenment quiz

Post by Laird »

It's time to separate the men from the women. It's time to peg yourself on the ladder of enlightenment. What percentage conscious are you? The quiz below will help you to find out. Each question has four possible answers in order from most enlightened to most deluded, worth from 3 points to 0 points. The maximum possible number of points is 45. You can determine your level of consciousness as a percentage figure from that. Remember to answer what you currently believe, not what you know to be true. We are not trying to find out how much wisdom you recognise in QRS, but how much you are in thrall to your pernicious delusions.

Post your answers and I will post your results. Eventually I will post the marking sheet when enough people have taken the test that we know that no one's cheating. By the end of this thread we will know who has the most spiritual authority in the forum and on the other hand who requires most of our compassion.

Having been specifically requested to come back to answer this thread:

1. Emotions are:

3. Enlightenment is:
D. ineffable

4. The vast majority of men are:
Yeah I refuse to answer this question as I think all the answers suck.

A. the perimeter of a region

7. "The Totality" can best be described as:
D. everything that exists; causeless and infinite

9. Women:
D. are respect-worthy companions on the journey of life

A. was a genius

11. The enlightened man's only goal is:
I refuse to answer this question on the basis that enlightened men may not all have the same goals, or it may be incomprehensible to anyone here.

12. Famous people who were probably enlightened include:
C. the Buddha, Lao Tzu, Hakuin and Jesus

13. Happiness is:

14. Science is:

Very nearly, but the fact that you still have enough of an ego to ask that question suggests the obvious answer: no.

You are 95.55556% conscious.
Katy wrote:Having been specifically requested to come back to answer this thread
Thanks for your indulgence.
Katy wrote:B. Where's Wally?

Damn, it probably is too.

You've been scored out of 36 given that you've declined to answer three questions. And it's time for everybody to reach deep into their wells of compassion because you, Katy, are in the depths of the animal realms, but that's to be expected: you are, after all, merely a woman.

You're 38.88889% conscious.

Still, it's better than poor old Ghandi.

Damn, which one did I miss. I bet it is the boundary question. I guess the correct answer should be B), though your insistence on a line or plane is troublesome, for example the boundary of a spherical object is not a line or a plane.

There were actually two that you missed. You'll find out which ones when I eventually post the scoresheet. I don't want to reveal anything just yet because there are still many people who haven't taken the quiz.

brokenhead, there were two questions for which you supplied your own answers. For the first (Q5), you were awarded half a point for original thought. For the second (Q8), however, you were awarded zero points and can count yourself lucky that points weren't deducted for the manifest lack of consciousness of the answer that you supplied.

I have an unfortunate announcement to make. It has come to my attention that a member of this forum has used her feminine sexual wiles to manipulate a computer hacker into breaking into my computer and shamelessly stealing the answer sheet for this quiz. There is no other way to explain how Shahrazad, a WOMAN, managed to post a perfect score of 45/45. Shame on you Shahrazad! I shall take this up with the authorities.
