Gun Control: What Is The Agenda

Gun Control: What Is The Agenda

Some years or decades ago, I researched and reported on
the Sullivan Act, one of America's first gun control laws.

When gun control was first implemented in the United States, its purpose was clear: the aim was to get guns out of the hands of blacks. Armed citizens can demand that their rights be respected in a way that unarmed citizens can not.

In some instances (e.g. Florida), gun control laws were fashioned in such a way to only apply to blacks, or were never expected to be applied to whites.

The JPFO has just released a new documentary on this topic.

Which leads me to the third fear, that there is a revolution coming, yes, a revolution on the scale of the original American Revolution.
I think this is possible. A remote possibility, but not out of the question. If the economy takes a second nosedive (as it well could in the next 6-18 months) then it becomes less remote.

The question in my mind is, what will the sides be? I don't think there is a well-defined "us" and "them". It's not like the police or military are all of one mind. What will the real issues be?

Here's the main issue as I see it: corruption of the government by its close ties to the financial industry (and others). The American people, as I see it, feel they have been ripped off by the banks, and the government was complicit.

I think there needs to be some sort of "separation of industry and state" like there is "separation of church and state" - and for the same reason that the separation of church and state was first put into place. The combination of the two is too powerful, and power corrupts.

How would such a separation work? If you work in an industry, you should not be allowed to regulate it. There should be some time limit - maybe five years - between when you work in an industry and regulate it, and between when you work as a regulator and when you go back to it.

What worries me is that the people that I see speaking out about these issues - talking about the importance of liberty, standing up for gun rights and so on - also seem to be, as a group, hardcore Christians. Not all of them, of course, but a large number of them. And there also seels to be a racist element to it as well (fear of blacks and Mexicans in particular.) And that is not a group I wish to see making decisions about the direction of the country.

So, where would you stand if a revolution comes? Where would I stand? What would the sides be? I don't know the answers.

Well, it seems inevitable that the U.S. economy will take that "second nose-dive." Revolution of people against their government could happen as result, though it does seem remote. There is some unrest, for sure, and this may increase due to economic crunch (debt, loss of jobs and property, increased taxation, etc). But people have become so complacent to the machinations of government, and lack an alternate leader or plan. So, demonstration and even rioting is probable, but actual revolution, not likely.

I agree, it is not likely. It seems wise to be prepared for some level of civil unrest, however.

-tomas-
I've a difficult time thinking there will be an election in 2012. 2010, yes, but that's the last.

-Dave-
The question in my mind is, what will the sides be?

-tomas-
I see a breakup along the line of 10 sectors. Nixon started this back in 1973-74.

-Dave-
I don't think there is a well-defined "us" and "them".

-tomas-
Correct, and as it should be.

-Dave-
It's not like the police or military are all of one mind.

-tomas-
It's the same with the police, sheriff's, BCI etc. I've come into contact with, they are all paranoid of Obama, perhaps a tad less of McCain .. they thought he was a running dog, too. There seems no racial breakdown to this power shift (paradigm), the religious folks appear as confused as ever. It's not "christian" (pagan) movement .. just a lot of commoners reaching for extra guns and ammo. Perhaps they turn on each other? The rural areas are safer in the long run, they have large military establishments, and people know each other better, streets are safe, all the outsiders are easily identified and eliminated first.. The big cities always depopulate first, no viable way to ship food to a bunch of lazy people who know nothing but to build apartments and work at the local five-and-dime for $10 bucks an hour producing nothing worthwhile when times are tight. They are nothing more than lost baggage, stuck in the turnstile..............

Who's to say what really happened during the early Lenin/Stalin (and Hitler) cleansings, the history books are written by the winners...

-Dave-
What will the real issues be?

-tomas-
Stand up and say you voted for Obama and the other Democrats :-)
At least, you won't be the first shot.

-Dave-
So, where would you stand if a revolution comes? Where would I stand? What would the sides be? I don't know the answers.

-tomas-
Revolution comes? Well, from all appearances (and Obama's body language) it'll be a slow-motion revolution .. people will be micro-chipped within 4-5 years. It's clearly on the horizon and nearer than even I may realize, it's written into the stimulus package (in March? of this year). Seems IBM and General Electric have been funded with several billion to carry out the identification (and eventually tagging) of us lowly humans :-(

Every household to within 40 yards has been GPS'd. No permission is needed to carry that out, they (the Census) workers were paid out of the stimulus bill. The average citizen played along...

Guess it's to kill the helpless unborn first, since Americans (like Dave) don't care about them.
Next, the elderly because people (like Ryan) think they are in the way.
In the same vein, it's the developmentally disabled because they'll never improve.
Then, it'd be the ones who do not sign a loyalty pledge.
Next, those who do not vote..
After that, it's the...?

You are correct, I do not care about the unborn.

They may be unborn today, but in sixteen or seventeen years they may become some extremely annoying teenagers. Get off my lawn!

LA detective from King trial kills self

A veteran Los Angeles police detective who testified at the Rodney King trial killed herself
after walking into the lobby of a suburban sheriff's station, authorities said Tuesday.

"He was concerned about how she was behaving," Whitmore said.
"The deputy left the lobby and heard a single gunshot."

The hero cop who ended a bloody rampage at Fort Hood had been directing traffic moments before

In a discussion on another board, the consensus seemed to be that there will be no public uprising in the US unless there is a disruption of cable service.

That's it. That's the line in America.

People are too brainwashed by TV to understand the root of their problems, and hence their anger can be manipulated and redirected towards a futile expenditure of energy/effort.

A massive solar maximum, disrupting TV signal on global scale for a week might wake enough zombies up, but even if there was armed uprising, the odds are stacked against them are too great, and will only accelerate the plans of the controllers.
Only global non compliance with the system can change the direction we are headed, but what are the chances of that happening? Slim to none.

Here is a forecast for the immediate future.

Obama Administration Shuts Down Oldest Gun Show in Texas

HEB used the staged arrest of a man by the Austin police - subsequently released without charge - at the event over the weekend as a pretext to shut down the oldest gun show in Texas.

Obama's top cop, Eric Holder, is a gun grabber's dream come true.

If they are gun-grabbing Democrats and their spineless Republican confederates, work to get them out of office. Expose them for the Second Amendment traitors they are.
