OK, here's my picture and some info if you need to know

Post by unwise » Sat Jun 10, 2006 12:35 pm

I'm constantly being harassed by Quinn to provide any sort of identity. Ok, so here is a recent picture. I am 50, an old man, but I like to ride my motorcycles. I have two, a Moto Guzzi V11 Sport shown here and a Honda RC 51 which was the world Superbike champ in 2000 and 2001. I sort of like to ride very fast.

Image

And here are two of my riding buddies. The guy in the back, Motomonster, is my 'bodyguard.' He's getting his degree in philosophy and knows all about Nietzsche and Soupy and Kant. He's got a big brain on his ass and he will kick your ass if you do not have manners. The guy in front is also riding a Guzzi and is a well-known author. I call him 'Mario.' He shall remain nameless. We are going on our big annual camping trip at Mt. St. Helens on the 23rd and 24th. These are rated the best motorcycle roads in America. Yes, I love life. It is a wonderful dream.

Finally, you speak the truth. Yes, it is a cool bike. It kicks much ass. You can drop $70,000 of factory race parts into it if you need a bit more kick ass. Yes, it's sweet. But, most of the time, I prefer my Guzzi.

Come on unwise, through your posts you’ve already shown me that you are woman through and through. Of course, with that striking outfit you’ve decked for this occasion, I’m sure you’ll receive the type of attention you most desire. Oh yes, there’s frank and suergaz flirting with you.

* * *
But you serve a purpose I suppose: you are a perfect example of the feminine minded male. Continue on this forum and I will be able to expose, using you as the example, the feminine values currently destroying the philosophical potential of most men.

By the way, you showed us your face, but neglected to connect a name with it. Why so shy?

Is that so Scott? I wasn't around here in those days but wasn't he a multiple-identity troll of some kind all over the Ezboards and beyond? Proclaiming enlightenment and being cocky about it all the time? Do you think Frank is his alter-ego tag-team partner here?

This is funny though, somone is being asked to give some background, like a name, and what is given is mostly posturing, a faint attempt to impress perhaps. Just like all the posts before, listing mysterious women, good sex, great enlightenment, ease of life, and so on. Immaturity can never really hide, not even behind popular spirituality.

Diebert,

Yes, that is Captain Nemo. He would talk about Aryan superiority, cursing people with his magical powers, and how cats would follow him around. He was definitely a troll.

Hey unwise,

Didnt your enlightenment grant you fearlessnses of death?

If so,

Well then what's up with the bodyguard?

Frank: The Spirit of Kerouac Lives! Dharma Bums! Dionysius! Like a Rollin' Stone!
Frank, dont you think Kerouac would be spinning in his grave if he heard you associate unwises shallow, self-indulgent thrill seeking and craven womanly fashion-statements with Keuracs much more genuine attempts at being a revolutionary?

And I'm sure dropping $70,000 of factory race parts into a motorbike in order to 'kick a bit more ass' is exactly what the beats had in mind when they encouraged people to question their conditioning and dissent the cultural values.

Frank and Unwise are perfect examples of how the efforts, attitudes and outputs of counter culture literary figures such as Kerouac, Burroughs, Ginsberg and others have been entirely misued and abused (not like there was even much wisdom in their attitudes, works, and words to begin with).

The counter-culture attitudes and outputs that were once seen as radical and intelligent in the 50's and 60's, now seem to merely serve as a barometer for distinguishing 'coolness' amongst yuppies.

It's just getting out of your Head for a while....coming into your Senses...it revitalises...it's Dionysian..letting go.

The form of the Dionysian Release doesn't matter..only the Release..

Do we have to go all Apollo about Dionysius?...do we have to make it another Head Trip?...another Conditioning Project?...make it real serious...Make a Mental Construct of Rules & Regs on how to do Release...

What's the point of that?

Your right - there really is no right and wrong.

There are higher quality actions and there are lower, more crude forms of action. There are superior manifestations, and there are inferior manifesations.

Keep in mind frank, the function of this forum is to bring about high quality philosophical conversation and thus action.

High quality behavior is [thought(apollo)] and [feeling(Dionysus)] intermingling at a very subtle and more refined level.

Low quality behavior is [thought(apollo)] and [feeling(Dionysus)]intermingling on a more crude level.

Also keep in mind that a dionysian human being is always partially conditioned by an apolonian system. The greater the sophistication of the appolonian conditioning - the greater the dionysian release. The more inferior ones appolonian conditioning is, the more inferior the dionysian release.

It's as simple as that.

A good example of this is to contrast Jim Morrison with Fredrich Nietzche.

Both valued a dionysian release. Who's was the more powerful and superior dionysian phenomenon?

Nietzche of course. Why? Because his appolonian conditioning was much more subtle, more thoughtful, much more private, much less dependant on the material world.

Morrison needed friends, booze, drugs, and crowds.

Basically, what I'm saying is - this forum is not the place to be displaying pictures of ones motorbike, ones flashy race suit, it's not the sort of place to be pointlessly showing us a picture and giving us a description of some guy named moto-monster - this is no place to be talking about the models and prices of bikes.

It's kind of silly that you should have to be told this.

But I suppose that's why they have the 'wordly matters' forum -

so people like you and unwise, and who ever else - - can feed each other the sort of experiences you prefer to eat.

Don't look like Kerouac to me. Looks like an old dude with more money than brains. Kind of typical of the baby boom crowd. You know, the generation that wanted to change the world. Tune in turn on drop out. Same dudes that hated the WWII generaton values goes capitalist with a capital C.

Get your motor runnin', my ass.

Fuckers ought to be ashamed. Good lovin', hell. If I wanted a dick, I would buy one. Plastic don't need Viagra. Probably because dildoes are made in China.

What a bunch of old horn dogs. I can imagine the young women who rip them off daily.

Figures it's Captain Nemo. What a butthole.

You fuckers kill me. Is there a problem with some fun? And old Motomonster back there would run circles around you philosophy poseurs. He's got a big brain on his ass. If he wasn't so busy, I'd have him come here and teach you some actual philosophy.

One thing that is quite wonderful with enlightenment is that I don't have to please you - or act pious - or aloof - or intense - or philosophical - or austere under my bodhi tree. Haha. All that is left for me is to enjoy. You have your reward.

How easy it would be to come onto this forum under some other guise and say all the shit that you love. Steven Spielberg could do it. Motomonster could convince you he was enlightened with one hand tied behind his back.

So, I will update you here on my freedom. I think I've given up on the philosophy section. No takers. Mr. Quin has relegated me to the boon docks here so I will put up pics and just fill you in with my worldly activities. Could be fun. I'll do a full report of our Mt.St. Helens trip with lots of pics.

I'm also remodeling my basement and fixing the grounds. Maybe some of you are interested in home improvement. As soon as I get my rec room completed, I'll move my drum set in there and send you a pic of that. I've played drums with some famous people you might be curious about.

Wow. A big brain on his ass. Must be kind of hard to tote around on his backside.

Why is he so busy? I mean, if he is so brainy, I reckon he could teach us all some real philosophy with one hand tied behind his back. I reckon he has internet access on his motorcycle. Given the big brain on his ass, can't he teach us all some real philosophy while riding?

Since you know him so well, can't you impart to us pathetic people some of his enlightenment?

He came here once and lurked around. He thought it was funny. He's a Nietzsche expert, but is also really up on Soupy and Kant. I really fascinate him. He listens to me while drinking beer and tries to categorize it. Sometimes he thinks I sound like Schopenhauer and sometimes he thinks I'm the reincarnation of Freddy boy. Then I tell him what Hitler had in mind and I lose him. He remains totally puzzled, but fascinated. He loves to hang out and ride. He says I remind him of Brad Pitt in 'Fight Club.'

One night we were drinking beers at a tavern and we saw this gorgeous 28-year-old gal sitting at the bar. She looked like Ali McGraw from 'Love Story.' And then this 30 something guy came up to her and hit on her. She turned her back on him. We laughed. I told old Monster that I could get that girl to come home with me because I can talk any woman into coming home with me. Even Faizi.

Well, two hours later, off we went.

'Jackaroo'???? What the fuck are you talking about? I hang out at the BUCKAROO. OK???? If you hung out at the Buckaroo, you would notice that it was a motorcycle-friendly hang out. - Particularly Ducatis and Guzzis. I showed up often with my loud Guzzi. You couldn't miss me. I would have talked with you anytime. I'm very friendly in person.

WOW!! What a stud.

When I was in my twenties, fifty year old guys made me want to throw up.

Times change, I reckon.

Are you sure she wasn't a prostitute?

As for me, you would not be able to convince me. Fifty year old men still make me want to throw up.

Buckaroo? Jackaroo? Isn't that the one on Fremont Ave at about 46th or 47th? I used to swing by my buddy's house when I worked at the Medical Center, smoke a bit, and walk down to <whatever> and watch some football. Haven't been there in about a year.

I did notice there were usually motorcycles out front. I grew out of my motorcycle phase after college when I sold my BMW K100. And if you had arrived on your "loud Guzzi," I most likely would have ignored you. I have no interest in your penis.

But if you bought me a beer and admitted you were living a fantasy, I would have welcomed you wholeheartedly.
