The Illuminati? The Freemasons? Those are conspiracy THEORIES, Teslacoils. How does *THAT* pertain to your original post?
The more one is conscious of the true nature of Reality, the more one is a genius. By this definition, people like Jesus, the Buddha, Kierkegaard, Nietzsche, Weininger, and Socrates were geniuses to greater or lesser degree.

I pullled this off your introduction and wondered if anyone would like to discuss socrates...

I myself would not dare sum up Goethe

He does however sum himself up in Characters and poems.

Genius can not be attained by narcissistic enlightenment

Post by teslacoils2006 »

enlightenment is usually a narcississtic path to a individual who has not discovered control is only an illusion. True genius can only be mastered by individuals who seek ideas of their own.

Please don't use Theory for these paranoid-lefwinged thoughts, they're hypothesis :P , Theory it's a hypothesis that has been proven to certain degree i.e. Quamtum Theory.
teslacoils2006

I don't recall mentioning conspiracy theories here Chadwick

Go as in monopoly "do not pass go"

Post by teslacoils2006 »

go as in do not pass go

Monopoly?

I played the game when I was young.

My friend loved playing because I was loyal and never changed my bargaining tactics. He even bought extra monopoly money so I would lose longer. Soon I discovered his tactics and he never wanted to play again. Then I discovered Ezra Pound who awakened just like me in real life.

teslacoils,

This thread has descended rather swiftly into material unsuited for the main forum so I'm dumping it down to Worldly matters. Also, could you make the effort to use quote tags or simialr device so people can follow what's happening (and who you're responding to). Your posts are fast losing coherence.

Telsacoils, I won't even pretend to be able to follow what the hell you are talking about. Posting links without germane commentary and jumping from idea to idea is incoherent. Find an idea and stick to it.

Btw, as was previously requested, use the PHP quote tags to properly attribute other contributions so I (and others) can more easily follow your train of thought.
teslacoils2006

which area would you like to discuss Chadwick

Post by teslacoils2006 »

Ezra Pound?

Socrates?

any thought on the word "go"?

Genius?

People in the medical profession?

enlightenment ?

Discussing enlightenment would be good since that's primarily what this board is about. How, for example, in your view, does one apporach the goal of enlightenment "non-narcsisistically"?

I am borderline retarded and I work in medicine every single day of my life. The only thing that "go" means to me is a certain kind of cell phone put out by Cingular. My daughter has one and she feeds it about fifty dollars a week.

Oh, GOD, NO!!

Not the stinkin' ILLUMINATI AND MASONS CRAP!!

Surely, this forum has heard enough about the Illumanati and Masons.

THE HORROR!!

I beg you, Dan, surely there are subjects that are far below the quality of discussion even on Wordly Matters. Some posts descend to the Cesspool area.

Anything about the Illumanaiti or the Masons -- well, that is toilet stuff.

FLUSH IT!!!

PLEASE.

socrates triple filter test

Post by teslacoils2006 »

interesting things happpen when you try to filter the information

http://iranscope.ghandchi.com/Fun/socrates.htm

Socrates' Triple Filter Test
In ancient Greece, Socrates was reputed to hold knowledge in high
esteem. One day an acquaintance met the great philosopher and said,
"Socrates, do you know what I just heard about your friend?"
"Hold on a minute," Socrates replied. "Before telling me anything I'd
like
you to pass a little test.
It's called the Triple Filter Test."
"Triple filter?"
"That's right," Socrates continued. "Before you talk to me about my
friend, it might be a good idea to take a moment and filter what you're
going to say. The first filter is Truth. Have you made absolutely sure
that what you are about to tell me is true?"
"No," the man said, "actually I just heard about it and..."
"All right," said Socrates. "So you don't really know if it's true or
not. Now let's try the second filter, the filter of Goodness. Is what
you are about to tell me about my friend something good?"
"No, on the contrary..."
"So," Socrates continued, "you want to tell me something bad about him

,
but you're not certain it's true. You may still pass the test though,
because there's one filter left: the filter of Usefulness. Is what you
want to tell me about my friend going to be useful to me?"
"No, not really."
"Well," concluded Socrates, "if what you want to tell me is neither
true nor good nor even useful, why tell it to me at all?"

This is why Socrates was a great philosopher and held in such high
esteem. It also explains why he never found out his best friend was
sleeping with his wife.
