some questions

Post by evilsorcerer1 »

can anyone prove (a) we do or don't have a soul (spirit), (b) differences between humans and animals and (c) how it's decided who gets thrown into eternal judgement first?

All three questions seem like a matter of first raising a definition, some demarcation line. And the ones who can, name, define and judge will therefore A. become sufficiently aware of a sense of I, self or soul, then B. name themselves to be more than reactive animals or matter and therefore C. immediately fall under eternal judgment. Suffering is now born as well.

Nothing can be proved to another person. it is impossible because there are no two people, or objects, or events identical in form, opinion, nor their intake of the five (5) senses And as another poster stated, definition must be the drawing point for a beginning for a writer or painter to produce a mental or visual image from words which will only simulate.

The difference between animals and human is the law, like begets like.

To answer the last question can only be answered by you (who ask the question) from the platform of who decided to allow your entrance from the unknown invisible into this parenthesis of eternal judgment? If you know who or what it was, you have your answer. If you don't know, you'll just have to wait until you return to the invisible to find the who or what.

Ooo I love questions! :)

a) Define "we".

b) No real difference or an arbitrary difference; same meaning.

c) By what objective standards could anyone judge? (since everyone is part of the same continuum which is the universe)

Any distinction between human and animal is completely arbitrary if you subscribe to the theory of evolution because evolution is a continuous process with no real divisions or discontinuities. In order to have a discontinuity, a baby would have to be born not related to its parents, which is ridiculous. There are no disconnections in reality.

With that in mind, how are "we" (humans) morally different from simple organisms? Is sin a function of IQ? And who can control how many neurons they're born with? What is the magic number of neurons for making a creature able to sin and therefore subject to judgment? If not neurons, then what? What ever it is, my questions are the same... how did we have any say in the matter? Even Jesus said we can't make one hair white or black.

If we are products of the universe, then we don't exist distinct from the universe, but that's not to say we don't have a spirit, just not in the sense of the illusion that we think we are.
