Strangely, you appear to think it has something to do with enlightenment, the reason which, of course, you never disclose in favour of...your usual sermon.
It has something to do with production, its forces and its forcing upon to maintain some internal distribution of power. Mass production, repeat, consumption and status quo. How modern! The greatest love of power/life is the appreciation and understanding of it. The greatest hate of power/life is to deny its existence through unshakable beliefs and boring conversation.

causes/conditions.
thankyou.

that affirms dependent arising.
thankyou.

now, whatever is dependently arisen lacks inherent existence.

But nobody is refuting it Dennis. You are just erecting convenient wind mills as prop for your charge in full shining armor.

Investigation into a particular cause can lead to understanding a particular ignorance, its scope, its breath and its violence. No wonder it's often being resisted.

Ultimately void and meaningless? Yes but everything is when taken apart at the seams. This doesn't change the meaning of this conversation to any ear perked to its music.

You 'have' it as shibboleth or inappropriate to mention in conversations.
An inconvenient truth.

its a supply problem.

Shibboleth is such a cool word!

As for conversations, you never really have them, you're actually destroying them, the ones you should have with yourself. Every sentence you write tells that story.

As for supplies, talk to your "meditation class" about it.

Dennis is the personification of equivocation, attempting to model himself in the form of the archetypical trickster. (I think he's more of a one-trick pony, though, and you should not give him more credit than that. There's simply no reason to.)

You'll note the particular prevarication arises from his bait-and-switch use of conventional and buddhist meanings of "empty That's all there is to him and the buzz -- his "bliss" -- he gets from it.

Empty doesn't mean such as:
The bottle is empty of contents.

it means whatever exists is empty of selfhood.

But nobody is refuting that Dennis. Empty? Dependent arising? Yes but everything is when taken apart at the seams.

Stop taking things apart at the seams without first engaging. That's not enlightenment, it's mindless destruction: the shallow liberation of nihilism.

How much do you charge for attending meditation class? You gotta understand the exchange, how even you have identity-ideas to protect underneath the non-engaging.

Your possibility is to 'crush'.
a means to an end.
When are you open for business in a conversation?

yo' li'l business model with a payoff.

what is it?
the excitement of 'prey on the run' you volunteered.

talk about that.

Well then, conversation is empty.
it is what it is.
Dependent arising.
Life itself is the measure of relativity, and relativity is the basis of dependence. Therefore, life itself, rather than intellectual whimsy, is the meaning. What is called “you” is life, and so to know who you are is to know what life is, and life is “it.” A limited interpretation of logic assumes that for every is, there is an is not, but once this limitation is transcended, obviously the conception of “is not” only exists because of the “is” that gives life to the concept of “is not.” However, the “isness” of “is not” creates the paradox that highlights the limitation. Thus, existence of the concept of “is not” is simply a concept totally dependent on is, which is life, which is you, which is the measure of all things, which is the meaning independent of whimsy. Likewise, “meaningless” is actually a meaning.

“Your body, the society, the forest, and the ways are all in you; you are not in them. You are the body also, but not this body exclusively. If you remain as your pure Self, the body and its movements need not affect you.”

It's meaningless til you provide the meaning.

a means to an end in mind.

what end?

it is what it is (means)
it isn't what it isn't (an end)

You are life, and meaning is inherent to life, which is distinct from the meaning of life, since life itself is the meaning. No assignment or realization concerning the meaning of life by a dualistic sense of separation is required.

Other people might call that thoughtfulness or being alert. It's all about the chase as ability and not about the prey or even "Dennis".

The hunter ability we all need so that the mind does not play a trick on our "innocent babe" bathing in achievements, of having annulled "stress".

It's this mental chase which you oppose inside your self more even than in others but unfortunately those who do not hunt become haunted!
