The best way to do that is to get a significant portion of the old members(except Alex, Laird and their ilk of course) to join up. But the problem with that, as with any reunion, is that it is almost impossible to successfully repeat a social situation after a period of time without also repeating the quondam personal situations of the individuals involved in it.jump-start here or elsewhere
Certain people in similar situations get together and collectively do something tangible, but it gradually dissipates as the individual members' lives progress and diverge from each other. This is especially applicable to internet forums where the very notion of "group allegiance" is ridiculous.
This forum has had its share of good discussions, and I think they should be preserved instead of being buried under verbal sewage, which they most likely will if it remains active.
