Cousinbasil is black [a bro'], so he's allowed [entitled] to use it here.

In the top-right corner there's the Genius search engine.

Type in your offending word [n*****] and you'll see his twin brother, Brokenhead, use it a lot, too.

What is the world like were we to remove our human perception of it? If we were not human, would the world be present to us like this? Would the world be a multiplicity of things, a movement, endless rotation, creation, destruction, or would it be something entirely different?

The King of Views

If the extensive explanation is summarized, it is this:
for the great perfection, the apex of vehicles,
all samsara and nirvana are without a basis or a foundation,
having forever been one taste as the dharmakāya of full awakening.
There are no gods or demons in the state of the great perfection.
There are no buddhas or sentient beings in the land of the great perfection.
There is no positive or negative in the basis of the great perfection.
There is no near or far on the path of the great perfection.
There is no attainment or non-attainment of the result of the great perfection.
There is no practice or non-practice in the Dharma of the great perfection.
There is no meditation or non-meditation on the meaning of the great perfection.
The king of views, the great perfection is just like that.

— Shabkar Tsogdrug Rangdrol

Rest like a mountain, unchanging and stable.
Rest like an ocean, limpid and unmoving.
Rest like one’s work is done, free from hope and fear.
Rest like an old man, with a happy open mind.
Ultimate reality which abides in and of itself without modification
is naturally formed as the non-abiding original dharmakāya;
rest naturally without searching or modification.

And then there's Padmasambhava's natural, thus repeatable, insight into inherent self-protection and safeguards regarding these types of teachings, and others :)

What is the point of enlightenment if it doesn't make you happier? Isn't it "better" to be unenlightened if it makes you happier and more at peace with the world. In fact scratch that "more at peace with the world".

Happiness (nirvana?) is the goal , all else is a means to that end.If the act (or process) does not lead to happiness then what is the point.
If being more at peace with the world does not make you happier then scratch it.

This is not a license to do what you want because as a collective group humans made laws that modified what "being happier" meant by putting consequences on certain actions, meaning that doing them wouldn't get you happier.

Maybe I'm just confused , but perhaps we need to answer this question ; What is the value of enlightenment? To fulfill what end?

If you simply want to be happy, but your mind won't let you ignore the insanity in the world, then you have the potential to become enlightened, if you have the potential to become enlightened then it's your destiny.

To not make the same mistake (in the same way) over and over and over again. Life is (by design) short so strive to "get it right" the first time. If you don't, so be it because regrets can (by most estimates) last a lifetime.

Nice, but surely you dont want to make the same mistake twice so you can be happier (in the end). I guess thats what you are saying. No?

I take Beingof1's point very seriously. How many mothers escape into a world of insanity to not face the reality that they have lost a child? They are happier in their artificial world (where they beleive that they still have the child) than they would be in the "real" world.
Enlightenment in this situatiuon would not bring happiness but would bring sanity.

FWIW, I'm half black/white, most of my family is black, and I was born and raised in a black community. The man can't keep the deeper realms of philosophy away from us foreva!

This would be better directed at Dan Rowden and/or David Quinn.

And, then again, I don't know how many of the threads they keep up with..

Rumor has it that Kevin is losing his hair.

The remote viewing is touch-and-go however in this video whereas Kevin's (in France) (youtube.com) discusses the Preamble to the Emotions (September, 2010) he's not much hair on top but the ZZ-Top beard remains. Kunga, you may be referring to his chest hair?

This (is) one of Kevin's better (finer) efforts IMO.
