Are our thoughts actually plants?

Post by dreamvine »

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping that people here are more open minded and lateral thinking than at other forums, so here goes...

It occurred to me recently that our thoughts are actually plants - Neuroplants.

They are conceived of (planted) and grow (water + fertiliser) and eventually become massive beliefs (trees)...

But that's not all!

I think the trees outside and the plants everywhere are ACTUALLY THOUGHTS!

Can you imagine the implications of this?

Firstly, we're cutting down forests, which is bad news for Earth's intellectual capital.

Secondly, we're living in a GIANT BRAIN.

Anyway, don't take my word for it - take my other words for it too at www.mindweed.org where I've written about it far more and there's even a free 177 page e-book for you there (fully illustrated and original).

I'm keen to see what people think about this idea that our thoughts are plants (metaphorically AND literally) and that plants are actually thoughts.

It's called Mind Gardening by the way.

Cheers.

Oh and I should mention the new website www.theonehourgenius.com - obviously relevant to people in this forum.

Thank-you to the anti-spam God for not destroying this post.

Thank you for planting that thought in our brains. Weed better think about this some more, as it might branch out into a whole philosophy of its own. I have more to say on this, but I decided to trunkate my post and leaves this alone.

If I go out on a limb and comment on your post, Elizabeth, you willow me one. Wood that be oak kay with you? Olive with whatever you deciduous, if I'm not making too big an ash of myself.

Oh, well, didn't mean to pecan you. You'd probably be sycamore puns, so I'll stop here, due to poplar demand.

I don't have much thyme to tend to this discussion, but the tree responses so far don't seem to have gotten to the root of the matter, so I thought that I'd say a few things that might twig with you. To go for the jungle-ular: dreamvine, manure really pushing it to suggest that plants are thoughts. Stop beating around the bush and elaborate for us. Or is your bark worse than your bite? Where've you bean anyway? - I hope that you're not doing a runner on us.

Hi everyone,

Yo, man. What's happening?

-tossed salad-
I'm hoping that people here are more open minded and lateral thinking than at other forums, so here goes...

-tomas-
Fertilize away!

-tossed salad-
It occurred to me recently that our thoughts are actually plants - Neuroplants.

-tomas-
Considering we eat plants and animals, okay. They (the plants and animals) haven't much choice considering we have a few gun nuts ready to defend their freedom..

-tossed salad-
They are conceived of (planted) and grow (water + fertiliser) and eventually become massive beliefs (trees)...

-tomas-
Sure a lot of (planted) people have piss (water) and shit (fertilizer) for brains.

-tossed salad-
But that's not all!

-tomas-
Vomit?

-tossed salad-
I think the trees outside and the plants everywhere are ACTUALLY THOUGHTS!

-tomas-
Well sure, when I used to grow marijuana I'd tell em what to expect when they grew up. I'd cull (send packing into tea bags) most of the boys, but the girls always smelled (and tasted) the prettiest :-)

-tossed salad-
Can you imagine the implications of this?

-tomas-
Tell me about it.

-tossed salad-
Firstly, we're cutting down forests, which is bad news for Earth's intellectual capital.

-tomas-
Sure, no more wise old owls to keep us adrift of the latest thoughts.

-tossed salad-
Secondly, we're living in a GIANT BRAIN.

-tomas-
Kinda like Soylent Green?

Very good - you win a cookie.

Yes, I see you have a comments section. I'll get right on it.

Thank you, thank you very much.

That is an interesting analogy, and it may be very useful to think of ideologies as a garden to tend and to weed of fallacies and nonsense.
