"Here you are Miss Jones....
REALITY....
Congratulations!"
Two years ago (as the Roman's count), I had a major breakthrough in creating a better picture, or model of reality in it's eternal nature and why reality's expressions must be cyclical.
So I am impelled to try to express what I'm seeing again and again in order to perfect my expression, so when I share people will say "hey...I see what the hell you're saying" instead of "that guys nuts".
In a nutshell(no pun intended),
Eternity means "always present"
So how can 'the always present' be different?
It's always here?
How can 'the always present' initiate change at some point????
There's only ONE point...NOW...the eternal present.
It's always been here.
So it can't just change 'one day'
there is no 'one day'...just eternity,,,the always present.
(are you following me here?)
So I thought...it must be an eternal characteristic of whatever is 'always here' to move or be active within itSelf.
So what have I got now (no pun intended)...
Reality...the always present...which naturally moves within itSelf.
Well, that's pretty good I thought and would explain 'change' in an always present state...like a moving fractal...patterns within patterns of movement.
<img src="http://images.beggerlybend.com/animfrac/spiral.gif" style="border:0;"/>
So how many movements?
I see one major movement in and out of itSelf (expression/compression OR evolution/involution )
and a countless number of movements within this biggie as subsets.
To me that covers all the temporal activity that can happen within the 'always present' so...
I'm proposing....
Although there are countless beginnings within the always present reality,
reality itSelf does not have a beginning as it is eteranl and always present.

Re: Reality Has No Beginning
Reality is 'always present'.
There is never a 'time' that it does not exist.
Therefore the idea of <span style="text-decoration:underline">a</span> 'beginning' or 'start' to reality is ludicrous.

Re: moo
Reality could have a temporal beginning and end, the question is does reality have any meaning apart from time?
Re: moo
not to us
because we are inside it
but i think it can be done outside
,_,
for someone that is 2 dimensional third dimension must exist always for them to be reality
but for someone that is 3 dimensional 3rd dimension does not have to exist and can still percieve reality
so why can't you say the same about time? Edited by: sloof at: 7/5/05 13:24

Then this is a matter of semantics.
Reality to me is all inclusive and equal to existence and eternity.
If you're talking any subset of that I would agree...
everything temporal or not eternal has a beginning and an ending.
Quote:Quote:<hr>the question is does reality have any meaning apart from time?<hr>
In my model, 'time'
is the movement(s) of energy/consciousness within itself.
<img src="http://members.cox.net/evolutionnow/pop.gif" style="border:0;"/><img src="http://members.cox.net/evolutionnow/hand.jpg" style="border:0;"/>
That is what causes the expression of energy into what we call 'creation'....
the active stage where repetitive patterns cause the appearance of universes, forms, etc.
Which has an 'intelligence' stage where humans measure movements of reality to the movement of their planet and sun (days, years, months, etc).
Since you can't separate reality from it's nature ('time' (from our perspective) or moving within itself (dormant-active) ), and reality always goes through a stage where it creates intelligence which creates concepts like'meaning' it's is meaningful to part of itself some of the 'time'(during the intelligence stage of the evolutionary or expressive stage). In my definition of reality as ALL inclusive there is no outside, but if you are talking about the third dimension....people, as points of consciousness, by the droves have claimed to do this in all sorts of non-physical(3D) places.

Intuition might be considered a valid tool for perception.
Perhaps it's a genetic 'knowing/seeing' or maybe it's a primal connection to the unified field?
I believe the feeling you first get upon meeting a new person...one of attraction or repulsion may be the transfer of information on an intuitive level...a reading of the energetic presence/memories of that person.

Hi Thinker
Your basic idea is that we are manipulating our own field of energy that assumes reality, kinda like the idea in the movie Matrix. Is that right?
OK -that means buy implication that everyone is already doing it all the time just not aware of it.
If I could create anything I wanted - what would I ask for?

Yes I propose every point of consciousness in the field moves, creating magnetic resonance (aura) providing feedback to the whole which is perfectly synchronized at all times.

You guys should check out a book on fractal geometry, and the exploration of the Julian and Mendelbrot sets. Not really sure if I spelled Mendelbrot right.
Mendelbrock is cool, as a proof for evolution, as a proof that complexity will naturally occur from the most simple elements. Mind you that alone though is enough to make him significant.
