Re: The Relationship between Enlightenment and Mental Illness

I would prefer to be in your position than mine. And what position is that? Perhaps, I could become a mental deficient. Isn't emotionlessness considered a mental deficiency by the mental health community (clinicians, psychiatrists, educators, etc)? Mental illness is a learned thing inflicted upon t...

Re: An Autobiography

I think it's a waste of time. I can't explain it without going crazy. To each his own. Bye.

Btw, I wish I had your writing skills! :)

Re: "Without Conscience - The Disturbing World...

Become schizophrenic, add isolation, a splash of stimulation, sleep deprivation, that book, and you'd be much more likely to understand.

I don't like this place. I seem to always end up here during an episode...

Re: The Relationship between Enlightenment and Mental Illness

The above is a good example of why I don't just write everything that comes to my mind. How can one be sure that meds/or other treatment options are the right choice to make? In mental illness there is evidence that the brain isn't working correctly, but whether or not, this is enough evidence, cann...

The Relationship between Enlightenment and Mental Illness

This type of combination may be interpreted as being at odd ends of eachother and therefore persuade the appearance of a cancellation taking place; the said enlightenment/Mental illness components would then be destined to compete as a duo with two opposing purposes - the effects including: a disrup...

Re: David Icke

I've had enough of this kind of stuff! It bores me now, and I really don't care about the game of "hidden messages", etc... My reason for bringing this up is simply because when one goes "crazy" or has some sort of episode, they naturally want to understand what had happened to t...

Re: Love/Hate

What disposition do we generally have towards that which seeks or tends by its nature to destroy the objects of our love, or love itself (i.e. our attachments)? I still don't see how one can lead to the other. In any case, it's an inability to make the appropriate choice selection during a confused...

Re: "Without Conscience - The Disturbing World...

Not yet, Dan. I'll post my thoughts shortly after I finish reading the book. Originally, I made this thread to see if anyone else had an interest in this topic, and/or would like to post their own pertinent thoughts. Perhaps it might be a strange topic for these boards, but (for me at least) it's ab...

Re: Love/Hate

A lack of love (definitely). If love, all of a sudden, vanished, then would hatred be gone as well (thinking about the coin concept - two sides of the same coin...)? Or would it not be (moreso) reasonable to assume that hatred would not only exist, but run rampant!? It also depends on how one define...

Love/Hate

What are some good reasons for believing in this: if there's love, then there must be hate - in order to banish one, the other must go as well. That sounds counterintuitive. Wouldn't love create more love rather than the other way around?

Has anyone here heard of him? To me, he seems like a very intelligent and sincere fellow, but some of the things he talks about appear too out there (if you know what I mean). I'd imagine that, if it were true (his main message), he would purposefully be wrapping the truth in fairy tales (reptilians...

Re: Why do some geniuses have mental disorders?

I'm not convinced one is a born genius, or born to become one If one is a genius, then they were born to become a genius (obviously). The process of assimilation and realization, of learning and understanding, happens on a scale and at a rate much greater in some people than in others. Sure, but th...
