Re: Can people change?

what do you mean by "attachment"? In a broad sense; the illusion that anything at all is not intrinsically a part of yourself. You attach "to" it (and it reciprocally attaches to you) , under the egos' mental construction that it is somehow not you. This is why sex manifested it...

Sex is by definition, unconscious.

A pressing unity of mitochondria.

The mind can eclipse this, can be greater than a bunch of bacterial lego blocks.

Re: Can people change?

Ask yourself the question, why do humans breed?

If you can give yourself the answer to that question, without emotion or attachment to any aspect of existence, you are enlightened.

There are; they would also be classified as severely autistic and socially impaired, not like the character of Will Hunting.

You mean you're backpedalling?

"Infinite God of individual units" - that's a good one. Care to explain that without resorting to the usual flurries of pretentious back peddling?

Is that what he said about himself? 'tis a little anthropomorphic and precious don't you think?

He clearly was oblivious to absolute truth.

Re: Colin Wilson

No, it's more to do with a nation of American males becoming aware of how a few jews lied in medical text books about the necessity of circumcision, and how their country is a throbbingly charged magnet for the wrath of avenging Muslims against the unbelieving Zion filth. To put it mildly. Pack your...

Re: Can people change?

Let's say we have an intellectually demanding task which is new to both Mr 100 IQ and Mr 150 IQ. Who would win? I'd bet on the higher IQ. I wouldn't. And I'm a betting man. 100 IQ is a perfect equilibrium for a human to achieve anything so desired and programmed via evolutionary drives, 150 is not ...

Re: Can people change?

I don't think so. The 150 IQ guy probably wouldn't get bored easily and he'd probably finish faster (at moving a stack of bricks) than the 100 IQ guy. But keep in mind, we're talking about a task which is new to both. If, let's say, the 100 IQ guy was a professional brick stacker and the 150 IQ guy...
