Re: Society for ego validation.
Or an individual soul in each of us which survives to the end of the universe. If you consider the moment now. It is past already but not gone. The year, month, day, hour, minute, second, moment to next is being experienced there as you in timeless infinity over and over again. It is not that there...

Re: LATEST SHOW: Mystical Christianity - Father Peter Bowes
Have you considered the fairness/clarity of the shows as you simply fire the questions without there being a visible agenda for the piece? Of course, the talk brings up the stuff and new questions. But, to have some kind of spine for the talk that also the interviewed could plan beforehand for.

I have watched some Adyashanti talks at youtube before. I find him very inspiring talker. I have to admit that he has a bit of a 'boiled frog' approach, though. He is very nice and comfortable. His writings make an interesting read but sometimes they remain a tad superficial. This was ok: Adyashanti...

In the future, men will probably start shacking up with female androids, if for no other reason than they will have an off-switch. Heh. Female androids bring to mind writings of Daniel Mocsny in Usenet. He was the single voice against a tide of irrationality in the young Internet. Some of his writi...

Re: Poison for the Heart - and Women
Truth: these two ideas are far from being the same thing. For the moment you don't seem to have the capacity to understand it. There is a remarkable difference between concepts of a necessary and a sufficient cause. Since you are mostly dealing with only your immediate emotions you can not have the...

Re: Poison for the Heart - and Women
The poetic statement about loving truth was a statement "First the Kingdom of God" in another form. It states that should there be love, it should be first for the truth, or there can be no truth left. There is nothing wrong aiming for other things, but should it be truth, by definition, i...

I wonder what editing you might be talking about. If you mean error in writing due editing, there was no such thing. You seem so seething with rage there is hardly any faculty of comprehension left.Leyla wrote:If you think that was bad, wait to you discover the economics of editing...

Indeed. And with it, hatred on the same order of magnitude. So the ignorant would want us to believe. Not when woman is posited as the antithesis of truth. As much as there is ignorance, there is hatred, in the absence of love. Dunno about you, but truth doesn't ever disappear for me. You just said...

As truth is not realized,
love is.
To love truth first,
and woman second,
can it ever be enough?
Or should there be but love,
and never truth again?
love is.

By definition, if not nilist, then there is some purpose. Purpose. Whatever you define your purpose to be, it will still point to something. Whatever you define your lack of purpose to be, it will still point to something. Enlightened or not it really is worthless unless you do something with it re...

Not nilist, just acceptance. By the way Neil writes, it is obvious that while he is talking his words always betray his true aspiration to something of more purposeful and more meaningful than he gives away. The moment he senses the apparent implications of his ambitions he must inevitably always p...

It is like Neo from the Matrix deciding whether or not he wants to know the truth: will it be the red pill or the blue pill? Most guys aren't really given the chance the choose, which is why I take the time to write. It was funny to listen people talk and whine about how there had to be three episo...

About africans... They are all too excited about complaining the past colonialism and especially slavery, which is in a way all right and well. What they will always conveniently forget, though, is that ruthless slavery was always present in Africa before that time, and it was their own people who a...

Re: Rationality vs. Logic
The meaning may change. That is what I am saying. The meaning is what is practical for us. If the empirical world suddenly completely changed our concepts would also. We could maintain that 1+1=2 but we wouldn't because it would be utterly useless to us and stupid to maintain it. But we essentially...

Logic used, then found, then used again. It does not matter. Whether you get it or not get it is so ingrained to behavior that it is not questioned. Whatever one thinks about it is bound by it.

Agreed. In this sense rationality is like a narcotic, and that's exactly how I think you guys use it -- to escape from the suffering/pain of the world into your spiritual bliss. You are still discounting the possibility of it not being so. It doesn't have to be. The moment the thought is rising is ...

I recognize that is the intent, which is why I even bother trying to explain what I'm trying to explain. The problem is that the presentation has some flaws in the design resulting in the opposite of the intent too frequently. There are no flaws in the presentation. What you are doing is talk about...
