Re: Bliss

Because THE TRUTH is inconceivable and non-conceptual. It's more related to intuition. How do you know that's the truth? Because others have experienced it and said that. I have no reason to doubt it. To give an example : Can you see the whole universe ? Wouldn't it be hard to conceive of something...

Will it do justice ?

Re: Bliss

You the are saying that with your belief that one has to stop conceptual thinking to be enlightened. The only concept that you have to stop thinking about to be enlightened is the concept of self. You are basically saying the same thing. It's the thought of having a self that is dualistic, not the ...

it's more important you develop and express your own thoughts on emptiness, causality or how you experience "bliss" in your life. There's nothing else. No source can do that for you. Stop depending on other men for every breath you take! Or otherwise just don't try so hard. Nothing to pro...

It is not to an aversion to bliss that I'm clinging, I am reasoning with Dennis and with you the error of equating bliss with emptiness, with ultimate reality. Ultimate Reality is Bliss & Emptiness. Nirvana. http://www.homeoint.org/morrell/buddhism/bliss.htm http://www.nirvanasutra.net/selected...

Re: Enlightenment

The ultimate or final truth the Buddha reasoned is that form is empty and impermanent and that when one clings to form as if it has inherent (permanent/unchanging) existence, they suffer. There is no other truth one needs to know but this one truth. All actions a wise man or woman takes is hinged o...

Yes, I over-reacted. Sorry Diebert. Can we start over ? The person, from an Enlightened point of view, does not exist. What point of view could "Enlightenment" have? Points and views are human . Even when it's personification of some object. Yes, good point...but you know what I mean. Enli...

Yes. And I am trying my best to be a useful tool at this forum. Radical Emptiness To the extent that the fire of truth wipes out all fixated points of view, it wipes out inner contradictions as well, and we begin to move in a whole different way. The Way is the flow that comes from a place of non-contradiction—not from good and bad. Much less damage tends to be ...

Re: Are YOU Enlightened ?

Show me action and I'll show you person. Show my person and I'll show you action. When there's no person, there's no activity. When there's no doing, there's no person. Nothing inherently exists.
