Re: The Worst Case Scenario for the Global Financial Crisis:

it's not a problem with capitalism, it is a problem with the average intelligence of human beings. Most humans cannot manage the freedom of judgment that capitalism grants them, and they behave in ways which undermines the potential prosperity that capitalism could give if they behaved more intelli...

Re: The Conservative Mind

Despite the fact that some think Obama is just as co-opted as anyone and is employed by the power structure, his constituency is not, and those millions of people who donated small sums of money do so because---in a genuine sense---they wish for something new, different, more fair, brighter and hap...

Re: Rebirth Revisited

For instance: compare comedies such as The Three Stooges or I Love Lucy to sitcoms such as Family Guy or Seinfeld. There is quite a difference in the intelligence and thought put into the humor. And as television moves onto the Internet through sites like You Tube, we should see more and more intel...

Re: No evidence that meditation eases health problems

Absence of evidence does not prove evidence of absence. However, the report authors said it isn't possible to draw any firm conclusions about the effects of meditation on health, because the existing studies are characterized by poor methodologies and other problems. ... Bond added that the new repo...

Re: Announcing "TheAbsolute TV"

Karl Pilkington (satisfied fool) reminds me of myself. Why were his videos posted? I think those videos are highly educational. Also they're concrete proof that many people really do want to be like animals, and given the choice between thinking or not, they choose not. Not nearly as educational as...

Re: People who are against anarchy are dumb - here's why

The USA, in its original setup of 50 nation-states was a brilliant stroke of genius, but the devil (Alexander Hamilton's banking cartel) entered into the details. Yup, but socialism (communism) has taken hold (war between the states) and the resulting War Powers* have never been rescinded, they rem...

How can someone against attachments feed a house buyer's attachments to luxury, beauty, comfort, etc. by fixing up and maintaining a house? Likewise this maintenance would reinforce neighbors' and visitors' attachments. Definitely a big karma.

Let me know how it could be improved if you find it useful. I might add a scroll-bar for easier navigation, though not sure how yet. Very nice. I don't think the already short pages need a scrollbar. That's usually done with frames (<frameset> + <frame>'s) or <div>'s and some ugly CSS. The search d...

It's gotten to the point now, where if an athlete doesn't break the world record then I view them as somewhat of a failure, given the amount of resources that has been channeled into their performance. http://www.kansascity.com/495/story/762343.html The Chinese government, in fact, spent at least $...
