Re: Anti-Construction
to know what a thing is not we need to know what it is :) you dont always need to construct things for yourself, perhaps you can perceive things by instinctively sensing what they are. they reveal themselves if you can allow them to. of course instincts can be dangerous things, as dangerous as caref...

oh yes, you get remarkable females, if their minds are calm. the wild ones can be self-defeating. true genius has no gender. none at all. ive met great female geniuses and heinous ones who are prepared to sacrifice anything and anyone to achieve fame.

oh bunny! a serial killer is a person who kills people cuz they feel nothing but rage and they want to tear things apart. its that simple Trevor. and NO, they are not always dumb, sometimes, they are really clever and good-looking, but they are still very angry for some inconceivable reason.

Re: How can women be sexually appealing...
Hhhhmmmm...You're cruel, but you are right. You give me food for thought. I grew up in a very bitchy town, where people hated me for being smart, so when i got a rare skin disease...friends and enemies told me no one was ever going to marry me, and i remember that people in restaurants couldn't eat ...

ok, I won't even try to use the quoting mechanism above the reply box, because I have tragically failed to master it on several occasions. Seems I'm virtually challenged :) Prince, you allow yourself to focus on these points, by making them seem like facts. Most women I know, including myself, doesn...

Re: Enlighened Indifference
Elizabeth is correct, the ego may be defined in different ways, but my point is that there will always be forces of the unconscious that control us: I quote AllPsycheOnline: "Freud believed that the majority of what we experience in our lives, the underlying emotions, beliefs, feelings, and imp...

Re: Enlighened Indifference
What you are saying makes sense ( theoretically ) but I doubt the ego can ever totally vanish. It is a subconscious entity, therefore you don't really have control over it.

Re: Space & Consciousness
See Immanuel Kant & David Hume's philosophy. They tend to deal with metaphysics. Traditional philosophy states that zero consciousness = zero existence. I have to go now, so can't help more, but go and read up on it. There is also a Japanese philosopher that deals with paradoxes etc and believes...

Re: Is Humanity a Failed Experiment?
Welcome Zarina. It is a good point that you make, namely that we have should not overlook the spiritual and religious achievements or understandings we have reached, and that we should see them as a type of species triumph. You're entirely correct, we give ourselves too little credit for the inventi...

Re: Is Humanity a Failed Experiment?
Many people accept the fact that they are poor, exploited and uneducated because a lot of them understand/ acknowledge that they would have exploited and ruined others if they had the chance. Others try to get back to the top because they are competitive enough, and so, happily play the game. So...I...

Re: Mental Abuse vs. Physical Abuse
Destructive comments can make a person want to cry but really, when people have to resort to really low levels to degrade you, you should know that you are a success. Tragically, its often the price we pay for greatness. Truly great people will have truly great enemies...I remember that a lecturer o...

Re: Mental Abuse vs. Physical Abuse
People actually hurt themselves, too, when they hurt others ( Socratic theory ). They waste their precious time on inventing evil tricks of the tongue. Depends on what they tell you. Some mental abuse actually takes on the form of a real threat, and so starts to become a physical one. What I mean is...

Re: Depression and it's Attachments to our Society
You must take into consideration how much crap we actually eat on a daily basis. Do you know what chemicals and lack of fibre does to people? No one under the sun gets depression like I do, and you know what, I went on a massive cleansing diet, just chowed fruit from our trees for days and days and ...

Re: A world without war
I find it vaguely remarkable that mankind has mastered and manipulated nearly every species on the planet, and is even the ruler of ( known ) outer space, and yet it has to resort to murdering and bullying its own kind. It's vaguely ungrateful, vaguely pathetic, vaguely unenlightened. Unidian of cou...
