Re: Rip my (most recent) theory to pieces.

I think it's unwise to assume that something needs to be the object of awareness for their to be a cause/effect.

Example: Stars beyond hubblespace.
Only the infinite consciousness can be aware of these.
"Life-forms" cannot be obviously, unless they're are life forms out there.

Re: Rip my (most recent) theory to pieces.

Good post Basil... At this point, the question is begged: Does Causality requires a prime mover? An original cause? And if so, doesn't that refute the idea of an infinite existence of light matter? That there must be a beginning to it? Or could the beginning of light matter, having spawned from dark...

Re: Rip my (most recent) theory to pieces.

It's not hard to imagine possibilities other than causality. Really easy. Kid's can do it no problem. Not sure why adults have so much trouble with it. Kids also wet their beds, no problem. Those same kids have problems walking The world has a way of training magical thinking right out of a person....

Re: Rip my (most recent) theory to pieces.

It's not hard to imagine possibilities other than causalities. When using the imagination, which is the faculty of consciousness that manifests visible forms, this is true. But the imagination of visible causalities did not cause itself to appear. That cause is invisible, is unseen, therefore is un...

Re: Rip my (most recent) theory to pieces.

We understand our reality, because of the way it's constructed inside of us. We use our conscious to follow the the grooves of our brain, and mistake reality for unfolding in the same way our brain/mind does. This is fallacy. Thus different blue prints, different reality competely. It's not hard to ...

Re: Rip my (most recent) theory to pieces.

Then know this padawan.
You're consciousness could very well be unfolding in a manner analogous to
the concept of causality. Assuming, consciousness itself is not malleable.

This, in effect, is perfectly in line with my above stated theory.

Owned.

Perhaps he would prefer it if instead of spending more time toiling away at an extra job, you spent that time with him, discussing the ultimate nature of reality? This. Just be. Be with him, be yourself. Don't try to be all sentimental. Just be. Talk about the infinite. Smoke a J with him for chris...

Re: Rip my (most recent) theory to pieces.

@ Blair

So you think everything is already set in motion, and that you have no choice in any matter?
That all choices are Illusions based on the idea that causality is leading everything a certain way,
everything is a snowball effect, and will power is just another illusion?

Re: Critique of the idea of Masculinity before Femininity

Because people already experience/believe duality. Aristotelian logic A=A A=/=B Where is the error there exactly? What is always on the move is not standing still. Isn't that the logic which starts of Tao Te Ching? The relative is not the absolute, in wisdom, path, word, method or abstract. SO the ...

Re: Critique of the idea of Masculinity before Femininity

Sazar, your statements seem conflicting. Do you realize? The Tao does not seek to creat duality. It simply r= recognizes that this is the case when dealing with the forms. Any act of recognition, of whatever, is a "duality": identity is given when it's contrasted with all that it's not. T...

Re: Studying the Tao Te Ching

Traveling this path, which I cannot find the logic or reason nor purpose for so doing, I've found all men live the life of a lie, of denial by attempting to hide their nakedness of truth by running, hiding from the evil only found in their minds, which manifest into the matter their sense deems rea...

Re: Critique of the idea of Masculinity before Femininity

Though, of course, Lao Tzu doesn’t suggest a choice of nurturing only the female spirit – it is clearly the balance that is of outmost importance – that is a 50/50 split. The idea of Quinn – if I haven’t misunderstood – to eliminate the female spirit for the sake of the masculine spirit and then of...

We've been filtering data through our processors since birth. Americans are an easy example. The media is a...

One need only consider, at least see, the sort of 'split' that informs the difference of opinion---and also aesthetic---that informs the polarity that takes form here. In essence, the 'lists' offered by B. Michael, as well as the very essence of Fromm, derives from Judeo-Christianity. Such views ar...

Rip my (most recent) theory to pieces.

Thought or awareness as a force akin to gravity. A person's "spirit" is the absolute center or origin. His will pulls reality together, through the ether, creating the illusion of mass. His senses are actually dimensions. Physical "laws" are simply fields, or webs holding the asp...
